A Few Thoughts

What a weekend this has shaped up to be. All the hype and anticipation has paid off so far. The opening ceremonies was unforgettable. It was visually, artistically, and technically unsurpassed. Favorite moments had to be the human painters, the electric drummers, the entrance of the Chinese team with that stirring story of the young hero, and the lighting of the torch. I have enjoyed every minute of this weekend (except for boxing) that was filled with cycling, gymnastics, swimming, fencing (what was up with those screamin' girls?), and rowing. The highlight though has to be the race that kept me up until past midnight last night. Missed it?
