Christmas in Salt Lake City

After a 16 hour drive (thank you recent snow storm) we arrived in Springville and never had to use chains until 1:30 a.m. getting up Julie's hill to her house. Lame. After church on Sunday we enjoyed a walk through temple square.
Parents needed kids to blow off steam so we took them to a warehouse full of giant blowups. Way cool! Everyone one had so much fun. Gotta love Utah and their multitude of family activities. Shane took a day to take Spencer snowboarding and teach Lindsay Jeanne to ski. They went to Sundance because good ol' Robert Redford offers a serious discount to nurses and other service professionals. I knew I loved that guy for a reason. Most of which are for his performance in this, and this, and most definitely this.
I had to throw this one in...so beautiful. This was Shane and my kids' first experience with Temple Square. A treasure.

"We're Not Worthy" ...in a total Wayne and Garth voice

Okay so when we were in Portland Shane boss said he would try to get us tickets to the Trail Blazer game. Whatever...if it happened great. He called us back and we met him at the Rose Garden where he got us tickets to a "suite" SWEET! We go up a private elevator with all the other mucky mucks and enter a room with a lounge area for what else...lounging.
Here is Jeeves in the blue taking our "orders". His name isn't really Jeeves but it made my story better. We were sitting in leather seats enjoying the view and had binoculars to spy on all the other hoity toities.

So fun to pretend for a night. This is the coolest pose I could come up with. I was channeling my inner Travolta. To end a fabulous night the Blazers reached 100 points, so we all got chalupas. You quiero Taco Bell!

It's 9:51; you'll have to wait until tomorrow

Okay, I promised myself I'd be in bed by 10:00 so I gotta hurry...besides no one has been home for 3 days and it is ffreeeezing in here. And my right hand is numb but my left is fine...why is that? Okay so Shane and I went to Portland which I will 'splain later. Shane thinks I am taking a picture of his darling self when really it is of the size of cup *"Squizno's" gave him. He asked for a water and got a Sacrament size cup. Dentists give you a bigger cup to swish with. My Listerine cap is bigger. I was laughing so hard I almost spilled and wasted his precious beverage. At least his trips to the bathroom will be less frequent.
